Yet these calculations invariably rest on demonstrably fragile methodological foundations. Shutdowns remain sufficiently rare that precedent offers scant guidance; most contemporary estimates are cobbled together to satisfy market appetite for data, frequently sacrificing both analytical rigour and elementary logical consistency.
